The Sibling Tag!

Hola beautiful people! How’s it going?

Do you guys remember that lovely little lady I introduced you to months ago? My smaller, cuter, more genius mini-me–don’t tell her I said that, lol! Jokes. But yes, some of you may have guessed correctly; I am referring to my little sister, Sharani! If you need to refresh your memory, check out this post.

To close out our summer–really, her summer–she joined me in my new video The Sibling Tag . Now to be fair, we do have an older sister and I will be doing a video with her, but she doesn’t live with us and wasn’t around at the time. I was sure to give her a cameo, though 😀

Anyway, if you’d like to see my personality up close and hear some accent slippage, check out the video below! If you like it, be sure to give the video a thumbs up and share it! & if you’re feeling really fancy, subscribe!

Random Tag.

Hey there! I decided to do this random tag, created by Jenya Grace in celebration of her reaching 4200 subscribers; huge congrats to her for that! 🙂 I’m not sure where these questions came from, but it may be the first of many that I do as a way to get more acquainted with my followers 🙂

Anyway, enjoy!

#1 Would you rather answer questions or ask them?

Probably answer, but that’s because I talk and write a lot! Lol.

#2 What is the best way of wasting time?

A better question is, how does one avoid wasting time? I usually do any and everything that I’m not supposed to be doing, e.g. watching Youtube videos, locating & binge watching old tv series, Tumblrin’, eating, etc.

#3 If you could invent something, what would it be?

A television that rotates when you do, so when you’re lying in bed the TV moves from wall to wall, and on the ceiling, etc. That way, you’re always in the most comfortable position. –how lazy of me, I know.

#4 Which successful company would you like to own?

Time Warner because they’re a successful multimedia corporation & I’ve basically read and/or watched everything they’ve produced at some point. Or The Walt Disney Company.

#5 What’s your number one rule in life?

Always love and forgive.

#6 Brains, beauty, or brawn?

Brains.

#7 What is one thing you would want in your dream house?

A full fledged theater. Over the past few years I have become a movie junkie- I’ve seen every movie that’s currently playing in my local theater, except two, and I saw them within days of one another.

#8 Given the chance, would you want to be immortal?

Hmm…if life were a Twilight movie and I could have an Edward Cullen, sure. Other than that, no; eternal glory in heaven would be much better.

#9 If you could be a fictional character, who would you be?

I am a recent lover of the popular HBO series Game of Thrones, and I am loving Daenerys Targaryen. She is seemingly intelligent, absolutely gorgeous, has amazing hair, Khalessi–which means she was the wife of Drogo (Jason Momoa), sign me up please– Mother of Dragons, etc. She’s also fair and just, and though she is in pursuit of the throne, she believes herself to be the rightful heir; she’s also freeing all of the slaves. Basically: she’s a BA ( BadA$$)

#4200 What is your attitude towards cannibals?

They belong in fictional books and movies- if that- and that’s it. Humans just shouldn’t eat other humans, bro.

Age Old Question: Sleep

sleepyI’m sure there’s a study or two floating around somewhere that answers this question, and maybe I’ll look it up later. But, I’d love to know why we (humans, and maybe other animals) fight sleep? I mean, if you’re sleepy go to sleep. Is it a fear that we’d be missing out on something? Is it an instinctive, protective response; something innate that knows that if you’re asleep you’re more susceptible to danger? Why am I currently overly exhausted, yet taking the time to do everything but sleep? -No activity of which is pressing or mandatory, work related or even slightly important. Hmmm. I wonder.

So apparently my life is a circle…

“So many days I fear failure. I don’t understand where others draw their motivation from; what are they fighting for, what do they have that I don’t? God, give me that. Please; I need the desire to strive. I sit and I write and it makes me happy. I sit and I explore and I admire and I listen and that makes me happy. It’s effortless. I need the things that matter to feel effortless, to feel worth it. It doesn’t feel worth it.”

I wrote the above quote in a private blog approximately one year ago- one year and sixteen days ago to be exact. The sad part is, I’m at that point again. Clearly I haven’t quite stumbled upon what it is that I love because now I am lacking all motivation to do anything at all. & trust me my friends, that is a dangerous place to be in. Currently I’m a graduate student and the semester doesn’t end until December, so I’m covered by a safety net. But, that safety net has cost me a whopping 30k so far. Absolute BS, I know. And don’t get me wrong, the field that I am in is great, and although my goal will always be to help people in whatever I do… I don’t believe that this is the way, at least not for me.

I enjoy writing, even though it may be rubbish. I love photography, although I haven’t done it in a while. I love creating, editing, and designing blogs, webpages, videos and things of that nature. & though all of those things sound amazing, my degree doesn’t quite pertain to any of them (Soc. & Psych) and it would seem that a degree in something like English, Journalism, Graphic Design, or Communications would be necessary. My experience begins and ends with HS yearbook (which was amazing) and I got paid to take photographs at a party once (also amazing). So, what to do now is the question….

I need a way out. Any suggestions? Is anyone else stuck doing something they dislike/absolutely hate?
